1. What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, store data directly in your browser. This policy explains what Cyberspot uses and why.
2. What Cyberspot uses
Cyberspot operates a static informational website and keeps its use of cookies and storage to a strict minimum. We do not use tracking, advertising, profiling, or analytics cookies.
Strictly necessary / functional storage
- cs_lang (local storage) — Remembers your selected language (English, French, Dutch or Romanian) so the site displays correctly on your next visit. Duration: until you clear your browser storage.
This item is essential to the functioning of the language feature and does not track you or identify you personally.
3. Third-party services
Certain features rely on external service providers. When you use these features, the provider may set its own cookies or process technical data such as your IP address. We do not control these third-party cookies.
- Formspree — powers our contact form. May set cookies for security and spam prevention when you submit the form.
- ipapi.co — used to detect your approximate country from your IP address so we can show the site in your language. This is a one-time lookup; it does not set persistent cookies.
- Google Fonts and Font Awesome (Cloudflare) — deliver the fonts and icons used on the site. These requests expose your IP address to the providers but do not set advertising cookies.
4. Do we need your consent?
The functional storage described above is strictly necessary for the language feature to work and, under the ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, does not require prior consent. We do not use any cookies that would require a consent banner. Third-party cookies are only set if you actively use the relevant feature (for example, submitting the contact form).
5. How to control cookies and storage
You can delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings at any time. Doing so may reset your saved language preference. Guidance is available in your browser’s help pages (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
